Hand-booked, brand-safe placements

Reach Australians looking for care they can trust.

Our Mate is a verified, accessibility-first directory of care, community and support services across Australia. Our visitors are older Australians, people with disability, and the carers and families who help them, arriving with a real need and a decision to make. Advertise alongside that trust, clearly and honestly.

Why advertise with Our Mate

This is a Your-Money-or-Your-Life space: the decisions made here matter deeply to the people making them. That is exactly why a brand-safe, verified environment is worth more than raw reach.

A verified, trusted context

Every listing is checked against an official Australian register: My Aged Care, the NDIS Commission, ASIC. People arrive already trusting the page they are on. Your message lands in good company.

High intent, not idle scrolling

Visitors reach category, state and council-area pages with a concrete need: a parent who needs aged care, a carer comparing NDIS providers, a family looking for community support nearby.

Built for everyone to use

Accessibility-first by design: large readable type, strong contrast, generous tap targets, no motion that disorients. Older Australians and people with disability can actually engage with what they see.

Brand-safe by policy, not by luck

We hand-pick advertisers, block sensitive and misleading creative, and keep ads clearly separated from listings and editorial. Your brand sits beside trust, never beside a scare ad.

Where your ad appears

Placements are simple, calm leaderboards and sidebar units in considered positions. You can target by state, by council area, and by category, so your campaign only shows where it is relevant.

Place hubs

A leaderboard at the top of state and council-area (LGA) hub pages, where people are browsing a specific part of Australia.

News and articles

A leaderboard on the news index, plus an inline unit after the body of an article and a sticky half-page in the article sidebar on desktop.

Category and search

A leaderboard above the all-categories index, national category pages, and search results. Never inside the result grid itself.

Homepage

A single unit below the main product card on the homepage, where the audience first lands.

Listing detail

A mid-content leaderboard on an individual listing page, placed between the editorial and the nearby-services sections, never above the listing's own information.

Sitewide footer

A leaderboard above the footer across the site, a calm, consistent presence that never interrupts the content above it.

The promises that protect the experience

  • Ads never sit above a listing’s own information, and never inside the verification or trust band.
  • Ads are never injected into search or category result grids, and never between gallery photos or editorial cards.
  • No sticky bars, no anchored units, no pop-ups, anywhere. We will not trap or startle an older reader for a CPM.

Our standards, and who we turn away

We protect this audience first. Every advertiser is vetted by a person before anything runs. That gatekeeping is what makes the space worth advertising in.

Who we welcome

  • Aged-care, disability and NDIS-adjacent products and services that genuinely help our audience
  • Community organisations, clubs and not-for-profits serving older Australians and people with disability
  • Allied health, home modification, mobility, assistive technology and accessibility brands
  • Government, council and peak-body awareness campaigns

Who we turn away

  • Misleading or fear-based senior-care creative ("is your relative dying", crisis-scare messaging)
  • Direct competitors and rival directories that would confuse the audience
  • Funeral, financial-scam, get-rich and other sensitive categories we block on principle
  • Anything that pretends to be a listing, a review, or independent editorial

Advertising never changes who ranks where. Listings are ordered by how well they suit what someone is looking for. Sponsorship can boost a genuine fit; it can never invent one. Ads sit in their own labelled slots, outside the ranked list entirely.

The full detail lives in our public methodology.

How booking works

At launch, every campaign is hand-booked. No self-serve auction, no surprise creative, no opaque programmatic chain. You deal with us directly.

  1. Tell us what you need

Email us with your service, the states or council areas you want to reach, and the window you have in mind. We reply with availability and pricing, usually within two business days.

  2. We vet and book

We check the fit against our standards, agree the placements and dates, and hand-book your campaign. V1 is direct-sell only, so a real person owns your booking end to end.

  3. Your campaign runs, clearly labelled

Every placement carries a visible ADVERTISEMENT label and your name. Clicks route through a tracked redirect with a sponsored link signal, so attribution is clean and the audience always knows what they are looking at.

Contact us to book

Tell us about your service, the states or council areas you cover, and the campaign window you have in mind. We will come back with availability and pricing, usually within two business days. No checkout, no auto-renew, no surprises.
