Meals on Wheels Victoria is the peak body for the state's network of local Meals on Wheels services. Hot meals are delivered weekdays to people who can't easily shop or cook for themselves due to age, illness, recovery, or disability.
Dietary options include vegetarian, halal, kosher, gluten-free, diabetic-friendly, soft, and pureed meals. The exact menu varies by local service. Cultural cuisines are offered in some regions reflecting local demographics (Italian, Greek, Chinese, Vietnamese).
Most services are subsidised through the Commonwealth Home Support Programme (CHSP) or via a Home Care Package (HCP); private-pay options are available for those without funding. Find your local service via the state office.
