Eden Men's Shed Inc

Eden Men's Shed Inc. came about in 2007 through the need of men coming together during a time when Eden was undergoing significant changes – industry around town had scaled or closed down, with many men becoming retrenched or retired.
It was envisaged that a Men's Shed in Eden would offer a place of mate ship where they could come together have a chat and a cuppa and/or work on all sorts of projects, if they so desired, or even learn new skills such as wood and metal working. Over a decade on and the Shed is a hub of thriving activity.
The Shed has, in fact, proven to be very important for men's physical and mental well being in the area. It has also been said that the Shed has made a difference to some men as their outlook on life has been lifted, especially for men who live alone – the social aspect is extremely beneficial and rewarding.
The mix of men who visit the Shed is varied in age and skill sets. Some bring a lifetime of trade skills while others bring skills from other areas, as all share knowledge and learn new skills that they might not have been exposed to before they came together.
