Men's Sheds
The search to find land to build our shed is over!! Livingstone Shire Council, in association with the Qld government has allocated a parcel of land at 48 Hartley St Emu Park in the sporting & recreation reserve, which will be progressively developed over the next 10 years.
Our shed was officially opened in 2016 and we are open for project work every Monday, Wed, and Friday from 9.00 am - 12 noon.
Visitors and New members are welcome. Morning tea is from 10.00 am every day the shed is open and visitors are most welcome. Drop in for a chat.
Members have been regularly fundraising every Saturday morning in the CBD We also regularly run a Sausage sizzle at our local Supa IGA entrance, every couple of months.
Member activities have included repairing equipment for RSL Care Sunset Ridge Retirement Community, constructing a swinging bridge for the local kindy, & manufacturing Flappy duck toys for sale at Christmas, to name a few. Some of these construction and repair projects have been in members' own backyard workshops,
Despite our best fundraising efforts, shed construction could not have commence without the generous support of the Emu Park Bendigo Community Bank, who contributed $50,000 towards the project, a successful grant application to the Gambling community fund for $29,000, the support of the Livingstone shire council, who have provided water, sewerage and power connections to our site at no cost
These contributions and the support of some 30 odd local businesses are gratefully acknowledged on both exterior and interior honour boards

Activities:
Our Shed operates on a casual basis and each member decides on what activities he wants to participate in. Some bring their own jobs from home while others work on Community projects while others assist with the Shed maintenance and development. Some members just come to chat at the long table. From time to time we have social events and often have guest speakers with relevent topics for members.
Emu park Mens Shed is very well regarded in the local community as a vibrant caring organisation.
Our Men's Shed is Open Monday, Wednesday & Friday from the hours of 9.00am - 12.00pm, for various project works. Morning tea is very important and a great time for a yarn. Some come just for the cuppa and yarn.
