Gosnells Community Men's Shed Inc

The Gosnells Community Men’s Shed promotes and fosters men’s health and well-being in a friendly and safe environment.
The Gosnells Community Shed was established in 2012 on property made available for lease by Amaroo Care Services at the rear of the McMahon Residential Care Centre, Lissiman Street, Gosnells.
The leased property includes the heritage listed Lewis Homestead, an original brick and iron residence formerly the home of the Lewis family, and a sizeable area of land adjacent to the Canning River.
A 30m x 10m brick and iron workshop was completed in 2015 using funds made available by Lotterywest. The workshop was constructed from materials designed to complement the heritage homestead and existing Mc Mahon Care Centre.
The workshop was fitted out by members and a range of essential equipment for wood and metal work installed using funds provided by a variety of sources.
In 2016 a former demountable schoolroom was procured, installed and renovated by members to provide additional accommodation for the substantial number of non- workshop activities conducted at the Shed.
The facilities available at the Gosnells Men’s Shed rival those of any shed in Western Australia.
The wide range of activities offered also make the Gosnells Shed one of the most diverse in Western Australia.

Activities include Woodwork, Metal Work, Music, art, computers, darts, table tennis, walking, cycling, talks, social events and Community projects.
