Kilkivan Veteran's and Community Men's Shed Inc

Since establishing the shed in 2016 and obtaining the grants to construct and deliver to the community a Men’s Shed that also meets community needs, we have now an operational shed, since the 15 December 2021.  We have included in our shed the only Omnisign Plus CO2 Laser cutter engraver for which we sort a grant for and cost $18,000. This is an industrial machine that will service the shed and community cutting or engraving wood, plastics, fibre materials, steel to .25mm and 1mm stainless steel. We offer computer training, leatherwork, wood work and metal work. The shed has introduced in 2024 an SCM Minimax Lab300 P 5 in one wood working system. We have a well equipped kitchen for any activity.  Mid 2024, part of our Welfare area is used by Caliber Support Pty Ltd as an office area twice a week for home and caring support to My Aged Care recipients covering four western regions.

Activities include wood work, leather work, metal work, Laser work,  Be Connected learning, art projects supporting those with disabilities or are at risk of isolation.
