Nyah District Men's Shed Inc

The Shed was formed in December 2011 sharing the former Masonic Lodge building in Nyah West with the Anglican Church Op Shop. The building was kindly donated by Freemasons Victoria to be utilised as a community hub. The Men's Shed is a place for men to come together to share their skills and experiences. It's a place to build on the health and wellbeing of men, a place of creativity, of teamwork and for celebrating community spirit often giving them a genuine sense of purpose. The Shed provides a welcoming environment for men from all walks of life where they can socialise and enjoy a range of activities and general social interaction.

Activities include The Shed provides comradeship and activities for men of the community, focusing on the promotion of men's health and wellbeing whilst providing relief from individual isolation and allowing older, disadvantaged and men with a disability to strengthen and maintain social networks and gain new friends. The Shed provides a facility for woodwork, restoration of furniture, toy making, metal work, kitchen, hobbies, private projects, community projects, Men's Health forums, social get-together lunches, or simply share a yarn and a cuppa with mates.
