Men's Sheds
The Oakdale Community Men's Shed was developed to provide a place where the local men could meet, chat, carry out hobbies such as wood working and craft and enjoy the company of other's like themselves. This project was adopted to aid and benefit these men for that purpose. In May, 2011The Rotary Club of Wollondilly North was approached by The local Council of Wollondilly Shire to oversee the project of submitting the Development & Building applications for the Construction the Men's Shed . The then President Elect Warwick Richardson and his incoming Board decided to take the Project on for their year. After numerous meetings between the parties involved, including the Oakdale Workers & Sporting Club and the members of the Men's Shed to be, President Warwick set about submitting the applications and plans to Council. The shed was then built with the final paving and landscaping being done by Club members. The Shed now has 16 members who meet weekly.
Activities include social only.
