Regency Community Men's Shed Inc

Our Men's Shed is a self-governed Incorporated body with Charity status. We started with a steering committee of interested community members. A Committee of elected members was formed after our first AGM in October 2020. We work closely with the Port Adelaide City Council and have a Councillor and a Council employee on our Committee. We also enjoy close links and positive support from our local Members of Parliament.
We have concentrated on establishing our workshop which is mainly set up for carpentry. We have also established a kitchen area where we can all sit around and have a cuppa and a chat. This area is as well used as the workshop. As of November 2020  we have around 50 members and growing. Basically this facility was established for men but we also have a  women's workshop session on Monday afternoons. There are no mixed groups. We are already planning for future expansion. A recently purchased shipping container has been purchased for storage and has been located next to our workshop. We intend to construct a metal work area and establish a garden.

Activities include Workshop, socialize together, guest speakers on mental health and wellbeing, basic cooking lessons, indoor carpet bowls and organized outings.
