Newcastle U3A

Newcastle U3A operates as a volunteer-driven organisation offering diverse learning opportunities to people no longer working full-time. The U3A provides academic, creative, physically active and special interest courses, plus social gatherings and excursions. Members can participate in a wide variety of classes reflecting their interests.

The organisation has been serving the Newcastle community for three decades, celebrating its 30th anniversary. Courses cover subjects from traditional academics to hobby-based learning, all delivered in a relaxed, non-competitive environment by volunteer facilitators. The U3A emphasises health and safety for all participants, particularly those who may be vulnerable.
