Southlakes U3A

Southlakes U3A is part of the worldwide University of the Third Age movement, creating space for people no longer working full-time to learn and socialise together. The organisation operates as a volunteer cooperative where older people share educational, creative and leisure activities. There are no prerequisites beyond the desire to learn and share knowledge.

The U3A offers a range of courses and activities of varying lengths, held in venues throughout the local area, with prospective tutors welcome to contribute. Membership entitles participants to enrol in as many courses as they wish. The organisation emphasises both the educational and social benefits of participation, with members becoming part of a community of lifelong learners.
