Community trust restoring historic aircraft with volunteer-driven effort and public engagement.
Uiver Memorial Community Trust is a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to restoring a historic Douglas DC-2 aircraft that crash-landed in Albury during the 1934 MacRobertson Trophy Air Race. The project involves replacing the aircraft's rivets and restoring it to preserve this significant piece of aviation history as a museum centrepiece. The community contributes through donation campaigns and volunteer labour.
