Whittlesea Men's Shed Inc

The Whittlesea Men’s Shed provides a place for men – particularly retired men - to gather together in their own space to:
·  TALK - We sit around and chat on a wide range of topics. Talking is one thing we are really good at.
·   SHARE SKILLS - Many of our members are retired tradesmen and they are more than willing to pass on their skills to anyone who wishes to learn.
·   SWAP IDEAS - Ideas can range from how to mow a 1 hectare property to how to make a dolls cot.
·   SOLVE PROBLEMS - These can be those found in the home, mechanical and even how to get to a local market.
·   DISCUSS LIFE - As nearly all members are retired and some have lost a partner, this is an area that is very dear to everyone. It is great to have people who you can talk to openly and who will listen and offer assistance if and when it is needed.
·   MAKE THINGS - The rest  of our time is spent in making timber items such as toys and furniture and some metal items. We can build something based on your drawings or we will prepare a plan after discussions with you. Please check out the "Things we have made" page. Prices vary and we will provide you with a quote once the plan has been finalized.
Overall, we do a lot of things that are very important to our members.

Activities include Woodworking, metal working, leather working.
